p4c800e deluxe + ata133 pci card

Hi all,

I just set up my new P4C800E Deluxe and have a problem with my maxtor pci
ata133 card. When I plug the harddrive into the card, the computer doesnt
boot, it just keeps rebooting after the ASUS splash screen loads.
I am running RAID 0 with Sata and one pata. Using the Primary and secondary
slots for my cd burner and dvd player. Not using any slave drives.
The ata133 card is plugged in right now and has no problems because the hard
drive is not plugged in.
DO i have to many hard drives? Im stumped.

You should try putting the cd burner and dvd player on the Maxtor card - if
it's a newer one, it should work. However, I seem to recall that the Maxtor
ata133 card is an older Promise controller, in which case you might want to
throw it in the trash and get a genuine and new promise controller. (I've
had a lot of luck with the older Promise controllers - and all of it bad -
they were a real piece of crap).
