P4c800dlx HD s-ata & ide Configuration

I'm wodering if setting up a raid s-ata 120 gig DiamondMax pro9 with
another non-raid ide DiamondMax 40gig will slowdown the machine's
performance. I realize the best combo is 2 s-ata drives.Thanx. AJ
 
If you raid the 120 with the 40 it would only be 80 gig if set up as raid 0.
