well i get over 300 mbps when max on a 10/100 nic is 100mbps...

Well, its theoretically 10 times faster.
But harddrives arent that fast yet.
The best i can manage at home is around 45-50 Mb/s copying from 2 different
harddrives.

Which works out to 400mbits/second.

Definately noticible when moving from 100mbit/sec LAN to 1000mbit/sec LAN.
