via

Hi,

I´ve a P4C800 Deluxe with a SB audigy2.
Problem is when lan is busy the sound goes nuts. (scratchs. in the midle of
the other sound)
I checked the IRQ and they are in different ones (one in 22 other in 23)
I disabled the sound onboard on Bios.
I updated the sound drivers, lan drivers, motherboard bios and still having
the prob.

Can anybody help me.

Hi there,

Which PCI slot have you got it in maybe worth swapping it to another?

I'm sure if you look back in this newsgroup you may find a similar issue I
know I don't have that problem with mine I assume you've uninstalled the
SoundMax drivers software?

Do you have your onboard Firewire port enabled and in use you could try
disabling the onboard Firewire port?

Let us know how you get on, Tim.

I un installed the SoundMax drivers then re booted the computer and
then went into Bios and disabled the onboard sound, after the computer
re booted again I shut it down and installed the Audigy 2 ZS card and
started it up again and I installed the drivers from the cd-rom and re
booted, a couple of times the sound card went nuts so when I had
moved it a couple of times and got to PCI 4 and it worked well, I put
the side back on the computer and it has worked without a problem ever
since.
Cheers
