I'm looking to find some good ecc memory that I can use in my new
p4c800-e, anyone have some recomendations? I want to get at the very
least 1 gig worth of dual channel stuff, perhaps something from kingston
or corsair.

Thanks

I used 2 each crucial CT3272Z40B in each of my P4C800-Es.

I am using 2 x 512Mb Kingston PC3200, part #KVR400X64C25/512. If you search
NewEgg.com for that part number, you will find some new and some refurbed
really cheap. Check the manual and make sure what you are considering is on
their list. While some that isn't on the list may work, it's easy to pick
one that is listed.

Hi,

I always use the crucial memory selector. That way 'they' guarantee the
memory will work. (and if for any reason it doesn't, you can return it)

Also buying direct from crucial makes it easier to get the lifetime
warrenty, you always know who you bought it from.

I had some Corsair memory that went 'bad' a few years after I bought it,
but I couldn't remember who I bought it from. I checked the Corsair
warrenty, but that has the following exclusion clause;

"...This lifetime warranty applies to parts that were purchased from
Corsair-authorized resellers, or were supplied by Corsair directly.
Authorized resellers are resellers who are listed on Corsair's web site at
the time of module purchase....."

and as I hadn't a clue who I bought it from, or even if they were
authorized several years ago, I never botherd trying to get them to honor
the warrenty.

I'm using 4 Kingston ValueRAM KVR400X72C3/512 PC3200 CL3 ECC 184-Pin DIMMs.
They work very well in my P4C800-E Deluxe-based system (though I wish I'd
ordered the faster ~C3A).

Donald,
will two sticks of that work as dual-channel RAM?.
I can't find the URL on crucial's site for selecting matched pairs of RAM -
if you can find it please post it.

Thanks.

Thanks.

I just ordered 4 sticks for the 2 systems. No matched pairs. No
problems so far. I built the system in mid-December.
