Own Symbols / Icons in View

Outlook itself has a field like "priority" or "symbol" or "flag". In the
"view"-window are any graphical icons.

Now my Question:

How can I create own list-field with own Icons? I want to create a form with
a list-field "part" with values like "pc", "printer", "server" and "nc". In
the "view"-window I want see Symbols (printer or pc..) and not the word
"pc".
(Its my form for edv-inventary.)
