OWA unable to open emails

I can login to my web server (OWA 2003) with a Windows 2000 SP4 PC with
Internet Explorer 6. All available updates have been installed. I am unable
to open a email. When I click on the email a new window opens, but is blank.
I can open the email in Firefox without a problem.

This is caused by an incompatibility between Exchange and later Internet
Explorer updates.
Contact your mail admin and ask him/her to apply the OWA/IE compatibility
update to the Exchange server;

Note that OWA is part of Exchange and not Outlook. The correct newsgroup for
OWa is exchange.clients
