Overtype mode

I am running Office 2003 SBE on an XP pro PC. Every once in a while the
Overtype Mode in Outlook turns itself on. i normally discover it is on when i
go to correct something. I go into Tools>Options>Edit and turn it off and all
works fine. Then out of the blue it is back on. Any ideas?

Could it be that you've hit the Insert button on the keyboard by mistake?

I had not thought of that and will keep it in mind. I don't think so but one
never knows. Thanks
