I run 2 machines using Outlook that connect to my mail server via LAN.
They are both configured identically to check the server every 5
minutes. This morning, apparently my machines locked up my mail
server account, possibly because they requested mail simultaneously.
Here's the question:
If I hit F9 on a machine, does that "forced" Send/Receive reset the
automatic send/receive interval to begin 5 minutes after the F9
function? Or is the forced S/R independent of the auto S/R and doesn't
affect the 5-minute interval?
The mail server support suggested not having both machines connecting
to the server at the same time. If the F9 resets the 5-minute
interval, then that little task will ensure that both machines auto
request at different times.
Regards,
Pamela
