Peter

We are planning to implement RAID 5 for our Windows
Server.

We would like to know which resource (Like CPU / IO /
Memory) will be used and how much resources will be used
(Like 5% CPU ... ) ?

Thanks

Go with a RAID controller and there is ZERO overhead because to the OS, it appears as a
virtual hard disk(s).

Basically, in your plan, don't plan on using the OS to perform the RAID operation.

We need a lot more information about your hardware first, just to start
we need to know the following:

How many CPU's?
What motherboard?
What RAID Controller, part #, RAM size?
What drive are you using?
What will be stored on the R5 array?
Why do you want to use RAID5 and what for?
