I have been given a PC with XP Pro.

Before I reformat the hard drive and install my own stuff I thought
it would be interesting to see what was on it.

One user account is not password protect but the rest are.

How can I recover the XP logon passwords?

I think there are some utilities which can do this or if they can't
they allow you to specify a new password of your own.

Has anyone got any names or links to such software?

Hi

If it wasn't your PC originally may I suggest that you reformat/reinstall
without bothering to see what is on the PC. The original owner should have
done that before passing the PC on to someone else.

talk to the administrator...sounds like you not telling us everything and
trying to get into someone else's PC...not good...
