Outook Hangs on exit

Ok I have seen other posts on this subject, but nothing
that pertains to my situation.

Outlook 2000, User installs 2003 over this. Outlook at
that point wouldnt work. I un-installed 2003 and
reinstalled 2000 and now it hangs when I shut it down.

This is where I re-imaged the laptop and re-installed
outlook 2000, it still hangs. Do I need to remove
something on our exchange at this point?

When Outlook hangs, the process's that are running are
Outlook.exe and mapisp32.exe.

Wouldn't you rather use Outlook 2003 instead? When you upgrade Outlook 2003
from Outlook 2000 it is best that you recreate the mail profile in Control
Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles...

The issue you mentioned is a known issue. I believe there has been an update
available already; check the Office update site for that but I figure you
want to work with Outlook 2003 anyway?

First off, thanks for being here to help us newb's.
Ive seen your replies and they are very helpful. As for
the Outlook 2003. My I.T VP has this installed on one of
his machines, and thats it. We havent decieded to roll
this out yet. It was a user out in the field that
installed this with out us knowing.
Recreating the profile didnt help. Any other ideas ?
