outlook2003 remote access

have a laptop running xp pro & office2003. Can remotely
connect via vpn to office (exchange 5.5)but unable to
configure outlook 2003
have a similar laptop running xp pro & office XP & can
successfully configure outlook xp
are there any issues with outlook2003

Make sure you can access the server by using the FQDN of that server.
Outlook 2003 relies on DNS. Also are your VPN clients on the same subnet as
the Exchange server?
