outlook2003 - how to get senders name in firstname, lastname fashion?

Hi,

outlook2003 question - In my inbox, we get mails with usernames listed
as Lastname, Firstname in the left hand column of the outlook window.

Can I get this changed to firstname, lastname? I searched web but could
get only about storing contacts this way, but not listing mails in this
fashion.

Because, when I know just firstname of a person, if I just say
arrange-by From, I can search for firstname and locate the message.
otherwise you can not sort the message for firstname in this case.
remembering lastname is a hassle :)

thanks,
manju

No, the way a name is being displayed is controlled by the sender. In case
of an Exchange environment it is being controlled by the e-mail admin.

What you mean by Exchange environment? I am sure we are using outlook
exchange in my company.

You control your name being displayed through Tools-> E-mail Account->
Next-> select the account-> Modify...

When this is an Exchange account you cannot modify the Display name as this
is done on the server; the company controls the naming convention.

You cannot control what name is being displayed for e-mails you receive
(well, you can ask the sender to change the display name of course :-D)
