In Outlook Express you have the option when configuring
an email account to hold a copy of the email on an email
server for a number of days, thus allowing more than one
user to download the same message. I can't find an
option like that in Outlook. Is there one?

Hi Marge,

I'm assuming you're using the protocol Pop3/smtp. If not,
then I do not know the answer to your question. Depending
on the verion of Outlook you are using there may be a
little different steps, but bare w/ me.

Get out of Outlook totally, Go to the Control Panel -->
Mail Options --> Select the profile for which you want to
change and select properties --> then select E-mail
Accounts --> Select view an existing profile --> select it
from the list and select change. You will now be looking
at all the account info, select More settings... or
advanced settings. Go to the advanced tab (same tab where
you can select the incoming and outgoing server ports) -->
w/in that tab will be delivery options under there you
should have the option to leave messages on the server,
and then you can choose to Remove after so many days or
remove when deleted from the deleted items folder.

I hope this was helpful to you.

Tools>E-mail Accounts>View or change existing e-mail accounts>Next. Select
the account and click Change, then More Settings. Select the Advanced tab.
It's at the bottom.
