We have always used Outlook but when we returned home after a holiday, we
seemed to only have Outlook Express which we do not want. Outlook has
vanished and when searching for Outlook.exe, there is no file. We have
Microsoft Office 2003 with XP.
How can I recover Outlook and discard Express

Hi Anant here,

The outlook executable file might have been deleted or corrupted.
Try repairing the Outlook program from Add/Remove program which will restore
outlook installation to its original state.
taking backup of your data files and contacts will be advisable before
performing repair of Office.
you can find your data files at :

C:\Documents and Settings\abc\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook

and address book at :

C:\Documents and Settings\abc\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book\xyz.wab

be ready with your account information such as smtp and pop3 server,
username &
password.

warm regards,

Anant.

Open Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. Does Microsoft Office (or
Outlook) appear there?
