Outlook xp will not install

I have had a problem in Office XP and have had to delete Outlook 2003. I am
trying to install Outlook XP but although the install runs ok and the
shortcut appears on the desktop, when I try to run it I get 'abnormal
program terminated' message. I have tried to run it from 'Install on first
run' setting. I got a message Unable to open default email folders An
unexpectederror has occurred. MAPI was unable to locate the information
service mspst.dll. Be sure the service is correctly installed and
configured.
 
Have you tried creating a fresh profile here: Control Panel > Mail applet?

Just to be sure, what version of Outlook are you trying to run now? I think
you're using OL2002 but I'd like to be certain
