Outlook XP Preview Pane

I do not wish to usethe preview pane and have shut it off for most of my
Outlook folders. There are new folder which I create and am unable to turn
off preview pane. What is going on?

Start Outlook one time with the /nopreview switch. Start->run->outlook.exe
/nopreview

account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Doug Allred asked:

Milly Staples, thank you for your response. I tried what you asked - ran
outlook one time with the /nopreview switch from start>run. I then added a
new folder to my folder list. It had the preview pane. I then right clicked
on the email and unchecked the preview pane. Went to another folder and
returned to the newly added folder and the preview pane was again visible
where I had just desired to have it removed. I then went to Tools and
options to see if the Preview Pane was checked and found it should not be.

Any other ideas. Thanks again for your help.
