Outlook XP/Outlook Express task request conundrum

B

Bad Bart

Hello,

Any ideas why task requests sent to machine running Outlook XP aren't being
received in the Inbox or taskpad? This particular machine also has Outlook
Express installed, but Outlook is the default mail client. The machine is
receiving regular e-mail in Outlook, but all task requests sent to it are
intercepted in and appear only in Outlook Express. No filters have been set
in Outlook. This machine is one of several in a work facility, all of which
have identical Outlook/Outlook Express configurations. However, this is the
only one that has this problem. What to do to get the task requests to come
through the way they should?

Many thanks in advance for any and all help and suggestions!

I guess my first question is, if you're using Outlook, why do you have
Outlook Express configured with an e-mail account (apparently the same one)
you're using in Outlook? If you must use OE for mail, don't configure it
with an email account you wish to use in Outlook.

Bart, you might also check the settings in Internet Explorer to see if
Outlook is set as the Default e-mail program.

I'm not Bart, and am not sure why you're replying to my post instead of the
OP's - mistake?
