Outlook XP not connecting to Exhange but Outlook 2k3 does!!

Exchange enviroment...

We have Outlook XP and 2003 through out our network. All of the Outlook XP
users can't connect to exchange but all of 2003 can. How in the world do you
troubleshoot this?

From the machine I can ping and telnet (port 25) the exchange server.

Well, Exchange accounts don't use port 25, so that's a factor. When you
create the account in Outlook 2002, whan happens when you click the Check
Name button?
 
When you launch it outlook it asks if you want to retry to connect to
exchange or work offline.

When setting up a new account it can't resolve the name because it can't
reach the exchange server.
