Outlook XP imported e-mail, but search order is incorrect.

I imported a .pst file from Outlook 2000 into Outlook
2002, and everything imported okay, but when creating an e-
mail, the search order for e-mail (from contacts) accounts
switched from last name first to first name first.

Note that I have set the 'contacts' folder to sort by last
name first. This does not fix the problem. Any
suggestions?

Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Set your sort order there
