My sales force can not use Outlook when they VPN to our network. Everything
seems fine on the mail server. When they open Outlook, they see their mail,
but can not do anything with it. Any suggestions?

What do you mean by "can't do anything with it?" Do they get an error
message? What kind of VPN are they using? Is it an Exchange server? What
version?

We are using Microsoft VPN on XP. We are using Exchange Server 5.5. They can
open Outlook and see their mail. When they click on the mail the laptop
freezes and then they are kicked of the server the connected to through VPN.
Is there a setting in RPC or RAS that I am missing that would cause such
behavior.
