Outlook won't

Ok, When I started Outlook I tried to connect to a remote server. I
eventually gave up, b/c my work gave me a website I could use instead.
However, now that I want to use Outlook for my aol account email, it is still
trying to connect to a MS exchange server.
I can't get out of the window, it just keeps asking for the MS exchange
server. When I hit ok or cancel, it tells me it cannot configure outlook, it
cannot open outlook, etc. connection to the exchange server cannot be found.
connect and retry.
I uninstalled and reinstalled. I configured it easily with Outlook Express.
I also am able to open and use Outlook for my AOL account email when logged
into windows as a guest. (that's a doozy). Logged in as myself on Windows, I
can't get it to work.
I even tried turning off the firewall, and typing in the AOL smtp and the
AOL imap for the exchange server.
I'd love some help before I delete my user account and try to get a new one
going.

Then remove the Exchange server from the mail profile and add AOL. In
Control Panel, run the Mail applet and click E-mail Accounts.
