Outlook wont send/receive emails outta the blue?

hi,
i currently run outlook for 4 different email addresses and just after receiving my email yesterday it wont send or receive.. Now i opened up outlook Express and it will. i went through all the settings and on both programs they are exactly the same. However when i click send and receive nothing happens.. no hourglass no sending popup, nothing...

when i went to send a test email it failed and said that it could find the server but not the port.. i looked all that up also and the ports are the same with outlook express...



am i missing something here because im totally mistified as of right now.

Try creating a new mail profile - it sounds as if yours is corrupted.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
