Outlook won't connect to server

A bunch of a malicious software appeared on my computer
one day. I removed all the malicious processes using Ad-
aware and Spybot, but Outlook doesn't really work.

I keep getting the following error message:

"Task "localhost - Sending and Receiving" reported e rror
(0x8007007E): 'Unknown Error 0x8007007E'"

We also tested the account settings and found that while
we can establish a network connection, we cannot find the
mail servers themselves. Given that the servers seem to
work for anybody else, this problem seems to be on our
end.

Also, Windows 2000 Pro takes longer to start up.

Do you have an anti-virus program that's integrated into OL?
