I have been using Office 2000 with no problems for some time. Recently the
Outlook portion has been freezing and will not open. When I close the splash
screen using Cont-Alt-Del I see that the program is not responding message
along side Outlook on the Close Program screen. I have reinstalled the
program several times and added all the updates, etc to no avail. I have
renamed the outcmd.dat file with no results. I cannot do some of the other
things suggested above because none of the menus can be activated from the
splash screen. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Try creating a new mail profile.

Thanks for your help but how do you create a new mail profile, remember I
cannot open Outlook.
