outlook will drop the plus sign ahead of international tel nbr...?

I'm running Outlook2002, synchronize with my Palm M505 and Nokia6630.
Unfortunately, when I change or enter a telephone number in Outlook like:
+41 555 1212 it drops the plus sign right away. I really need the plus sign
for dialing calls on my mobile phone abroad and at home.
I've tried changing dialing options but cannot as I don't have any PC
telephone stuff installed. Is there another way of fixing this?

Outlook uses the windows dial program.. so put your + as a prefix digit
there so it will use it.

Do you have "Automatically add country code to local phone numbers" selected
under "Dialing Options"?
