outlook web access dies when sending on vista in IE

I can send messages with firefox, but ie dies every time. It just quits and
says "I quit." this has been happening for months and I've ignored it until
now because it hasn't mattered. but recently, firefox refuses to let me
browse for a file to attach, so I had hoped MS had fixed this bug.

I'm running vista business, ie 7.0, and am uptodate on patches and SPs.
