Outlook w/connector does not delete emails in Hotmail

Don S.

Hi

I have installed Outlook 2007 with Outlook Connector, replacing my Outlook
Express.

One item I have notices is that the emails I delete from Outlook are NOT
deleted from HotMail. Same applies to Junk email deleted in Outlook - they
are still in HotMail.

I was under the impression that this was a feature of Outlook Connector, and
it would remove emails from HotMail.

Thanks

Hotmail and Outlook should sync during the next Send/Receive operation.
That's how it works for me. Messages I delete in Outlook don't disappear from
the server immediately, they disappear when the next send/receive runs.

Brian, I under stand what Don is talking about. I have been using Outlook
Connector for almost 2 years via my Office Live account. With the last
update to the connector software, it seems that the connector does not sync
properly and delete items from the server.

I use the connector on 3 machines to sync. My office PC, my notebook, and my
home PC. I can go ALL DAY long at the office, delete emails from early in
the morning (and empty the deleted items folder), and when I get home to use
my account, the mail is still in the deleted items folder. My Send/Receive
settings are set to sync every 5 minutes.

What REALLY drives me crazy, is some mornings I check my email at home
before leaving, purposely click the Send/Receive button, and when I get to
my office, the mail I read @ home is still bold as if were not read.

Obviously, the connector still needs some work. I would really like to see
it work to the point that it has an instant sync with the server.
