Outlook vs outlook express

I prefer to use Outlook for my email, however, I also like to use
newsgroups. I don't understand why news groups can't be accessed from
Outlook. What is the easiest way to switch back and forth between Outlook
and Outlook express?

I add /outnews to the OE shortcut (on the quick launch bar) I use to load
it - or you can use Go, News menu in Outlook.
