Outlook unable to locate recurrence of appointment. Which one?

Every time I start my Outlook, I receive a small box that says:
"There was a problem reading one or more of your reminders. Some
reminders may not appear. Cannot locate recurrence information for
this appointment"

I have tried to run open as Brian Tillman suggested and that works once and
the next time you open Outlook it happens all over again.

Have also removed all calendar appointments (some fun that is) and then
reentered them (another fun task), but the issue continues.

Have now posted three times and asked to be notified of replies, none, that
is zero, zipp, nada, received. Beginning to wonder if Microsoft has this as
a slush bucket that things go into just to give us a warm feeling but no
assistance.

If this were happening to me, I'd start with a new mail profile and a new
PST, ciopying the data from the old PST to the new one.

The web interface to these groups is poor. Reading is easier using a real
newsreader, in my opinion.

Follow the directions that appear in article 195748, titled "OL98: Cannot
Locate Recurrence Information for this Appointment". If you follow the
directions completely, you will find the recurring meeting that is causing
the problem and can address the issue either by changing the recurrence or,
like in my case, deleting the recurring meeting that was sent to me by
someone else and had been cancelled.
