Outlook today

Within the last few months (I am unable to determine when)
I have lost the ability to customize Outlook Today in
Office 2000. When I go to Outlook today, the screen shows
but I can not customize. The button for customize shows
and the cursor changes when I highlight the button but
nothing happens. I am thus able to change the screen
presentation or to get outlook to start in outlook today.
I would appreciate any help to resolve this problem. I
have deleted and reinstalled office 2000 several time to
attempt to resolve this issue but to no avail. I have
recently had to reinstall Windows 2000 due to a virus that
was eating files, that seems to have been resolved but I
am unable to get Outlook today to behave. Robert
