Outlook Today does not display correctly

I have the greek Office Basic 2003. My problem is that the Outlook Today page
doesn't display correctly any more. The greek equivalents of the elements
"Outlook Today"( title), "Customization of Outlook Today" ( button or
whatever), "Tasks", "Calendar" and "Folders"( the three hyperlinks of the
main page) are displayed with nonsense symbols in place of the greek letters.
I found somebody else in the net with the same problem( for the same- greek-
language and the same- Office 2003- product) and he was stating that he found
that he sould mess with the outlook.htm page which is inside the
outlookwvw?.dll and in this way he solved his problem. Is it so and how can
it be done?

The Microsoft Knowledgebase has articles on customizing Outlook Today.

I found the solution myself. I opened the Outlook default main page-
res://C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\1032\outlwvw.dll/outlook.htm
with the Internet Explorer and it read it as vietnamese( charset
windows-1258) instead of greek( charset= windows-1253)! Strange, isn't it?
Even stranger, when I clicked the "Reffresh" button then it read and
displayed the page correctly! I disabled the language auto detection feature
and this solved the problem. Yet I can't understand two things:
1. Why the Internet Explorer confused greek with vietnamese? The outlook.htm
mentioned correctly the windows-1253 charset( I checked it).
2. When I deleted the line refferingd to the charset- I had saved the
archive as outlook.htm- the Internet Explorer could read it properly even
with the auto detection feature enabled!(?)
