Outlook times out when sending attachments

I am using Outlook 2003 and imported my pst file from XP computer. When I
try to send emials with attachments the SMTP server always times out. I can
send using other programs just ont Outlook. I have turned off UAC, disabled
autotuning and run Outlook as an administrator. Any other suggestions?

I'd try this, I had to do the same when using Outlook 2003 and sending
larger attachments, http://support.netfirms.com/article.php?id=402

If you have an antivirus that scans emails - McAfee, Norton, etc. - turn
that option off. You will still be protected and it is a known issue
that av email scanning can cause your symptoms.
