Outlook time stamp

All of our computers have the same time - workstations are synchronized to
the server as users logon. Email messages all seem to have the time wrong
time stamped by one hour. I checked the server and all of the workstations
to make sure that automatically adjusting for daylight saving time is
checked, and everything it is. What am I missing? Thanks!

There's also a DST setting in Outlook. Click Tools>Options>Calendar
Options>Time Zone and make sure the "Adjust for daylight saving time" check
box agrees with Windows DST setting. Double-click the click in the System
Tray, click the Time Zone tab and examine the "Automatically adjust clock
for daylight saving changes" box at the bottom. Both must be checked or
both unchecked.

Yes - Thank you! That did the trick!

My problem is more bizare. When I check the "dst" box both in outlook and
xp, I end up an hour ahead. Everything is correct except for the datestamp
on my imap email. If I only adjust the time in xp, the time is right, but
all my calendar items in outlook start and end at 1am making all day events
last for more than one day. I cannot get the time, email and calendar items
to all work together. I only have this issue in daylight savings time. I
even turned off the auto-sync feature in xp. No combination works. I am
also getting the blue screen of death due to time/date discrepencies when I
try to hot sync my handspring treo. Any suggestions?

I'd say then that the date you're seeing is because your IMAP server is in a
different time zone than you are or it doesn't have the proper DST setting.
Talk to the people who manage the server.

I have check with my system administrators and the other 6000 employees not
using Outlook are fine. I have read numerous posts on the internet
addressing the same issue. This appears to be only a Outlook 2003 issue,
becuase my computer at home running XP is perfect. Everything is checked as
DST correctly. People even tell me my emails are stamped 1 hour off. Bottom
line is my email time is wrong, my all day calendar items last two days and
every one of my appointments is a hour off. I would love to chat in person
with anyone who has a fix or would like additional details.

But does your WIndows XP clock DST setting agree with Outlook Calendar's DST
setting on Tools>Options>Calendar Options>Time Zone?

Yes, everything agrees. I have tried every combination possible...especially
making sure they match. I consider myself to be an advanced user and would
not post to this group if I honestly could not find the answer. My IT guy is
also at a loss. It has to be something with 2003 b/c it works perfectly on
XP (same check boxes selected). It might even be a problem with a patch
since I did not have this issue in 2004. I have read numerous posts on other
discussion boards regarding the same question. No idea what the issue is,
but it is a big one. :(

I'm having the same problem. Did you find a resolution? I'm running Outlook
2002 by the way.
All my clocks show the right (DST) time. But my emails are stamped an hour
behind. Very odd.

it's either the computer or the mail server. try changing to another time
zone and changing it back.

I have had the same problem, it has taken me 2 weeks and 96 min on the phone
with customer support for ME to figure it out. now bare with me in
outlook/tools/options/calendar options/ time zones. check what time zone you
have it set. if there is another one with the same gmt select that one (i.e.
mine is central time -0600 there is 2 of these) make sure the one you select
allows you to check the box below it adjust for Daylight savings time. now go
to control panels to date and time properties. under the time zone tab make
sure that you time zone you have selected allow you to check automatically
adjust clock for daylight saving changes. under the date and time tab
manually adjust the clock back one hour if need be (I had to) go back to
outlook and send yourself a test message as this should have fixed the
problem if you need more help with this feel free to give me a
