Outlook Tasks

Hi, pulling my hair out trying to use tasks. I start in simple view and try
to enter a new task but get the error messages as follows. I try to do what
it states, but nothing happens.

Please save the task order by clicking Save Task Order on the Actions menu
in the “Tasks†folder. The view must not be filtered or grouped for Save Task
order to be available. Could not complete the operation. One or more
parameter values are not valid.

Any help would be much appreciated, many thanks. Nick

Nick a few questions...

What version? Is it fully patched? SP #?

When did it start happening?

Hi Judy

Not sure when it happened as I had not been using tasks before. But I have
recently restored my laptop and reloaded the software. It is Microsoft
Outlook 2003 (11.8169.8172) SP3

As far as I am aware I did all the updates and have updates set to
automatic, so I think it is fully patched.

It is linked to an exchange server. If I add a task via the web page, no
problem. But I cannot add any taks via Outlook .

Any help wpould be appreciated
