outlook tabs close when I hit the minimize button, any hints?

This is new, when I minimize the outlook tabs, they close the program...advise?

Outlook doesn't have "tabs" AFAIK. What exactly do you mean?
 
Suspect you configured Outlook to "Hide when minimized." Outlook's doing
what you told it to. R click the Outlook icon in the Systray and see if you
did.
