Outlook sync client has encountered a problem and needs to close

Recently purchased outlook 2007 so I could sync my calendar and contacts with
my iPhone. Everytime i try to sync, I get the error "OutlookSyncClient has
encountered an error and needs to close". I've spent hours on the phone with
Apple uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and Outlook, etc, etc, etc. Outlook
and iTunes apparently aren't "talking". What can I do to resolve the subject
error?

The OutlookSyncClient is strictly an Apple product. Outlook does not take an
active role in the sync process. There rae no settings within Outlook that
affect the sync process. It's all up to the sync software.
 
I also have this problem quite frequently. Usually Outlook Sync
Client will crash at least once, but then when I hit "Sync" again in
iTunes, it will usually eventually sync. Still quite annoying. Brian
is correct this this is strictly Apple software that is causing the
problem. too bad this doesn't "just work"
