Outlook still active after shutdown

outlook.exe remains active after I shut the program down. When I look in
taskmanager I can have several outlook.exe runnings. I have xp sp2 and
outlook 2003.

Any ideas?

3rd party programs like WinFax, ActiveSync, antivirus, instant messengers
(e.g. ICQ), using Word as the email editor and Outlook closes before Word,
and Outlook addins can cause the application to stay resident. Have

haven't come across this product in the group, but quite possible if it
integrates with outlook to scan e-mail in real-time. Can you
uninstall/reinstall w/out e-mail integration?
