Outlook stalls downloading mail

Outlook will start to download a batch of say 17 e-mails it will get to maybe
No. 11 then stop. If you cancel send/receive it will repeat the procedure get
to No 11 then stop. Restarting outlook or rebooting PC has no effect. This
does not happen in webmail but does if I use Thunderbird.

Any Ideas
 
Best guess is this means that message 11 is corrupt. Read/delete it via the
webmail interface and then fetch your messages.
