Outlook spam filter not working with multiple users signed on

I'm having an issue with my Outlook spam filter not working if more
than one user has Outlook running on my machine. If both my wife and I
are logged on and have Outlook open under our separate user accounts
then the spam filter catches 0 emails. If I am the only one with
Outlook running there is no problem, even if others are signed on as
long as they aren't running Outlook. I've tried everything I can
think of but nothing seems to work. Has anyone experienced this or know
of a work around?

I am running Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 with Service
pack 2 installed. Outlook is Office 2002 Version with SP2 installed.

-Thanks Mark

It's probably an artifact from using outlook this way - typically you can't
run two profiles at once.

Do both accounts have the same spam settings?

When you say you're both logged in, do you mean you're using Fast User
Switching to go between accounts, or that you using Remote Desktop
Connection from another PC to connect to the first PC so that one person is
logged in via the main monitor and keyboard and the other by RDC?

We are using fast switching on the same machine. If I boot the machine
up and log on first the spam filter works, ones my wife logs on and
starts outlook I lose my spam filter. Very Odd...

As Diane said, it's probably an artifact of having Outlook running twice.
While Fast User Switching allows two Outlook instances, I'm not surprised
there are side-effects.

Ditto. Same exact problem - (Fast user switching, multiple instances of
outlook running on same computer - junk mail filter only works for one
instance). Has anyone come up with a solution as yet?
