Outlook signature: retain formatting on recepient's end

Guest

Employees in a department want all their signatures to be formatted
identically. They have successfully done this for outgoing mail (completed
signature block in Word and copied and pasted it to the Outlook Signature
feature).

Here's the question ... Is it possible for the signature to retain its
outgoing formatting when it is opened by the recepient? The email could be
sent within or outside our institution.

Maybe. Bottom line is that you can't control what the message looks like at the other end, even when you use plain text, since some people read their mail in web browser mail applications. Perhaps the best you can do is test with a variety of email clients.

FWIW, Outlook 2007 has a feature to help with this, at least for HTML and RTF format messages -- electronic business cards.
