Outlook Signature Problems - a few....aaarrrggghhh!

Things started to go wrong when I inserted a small jpg image file of the
company logo into my signature and I noticed that the automatic spellcheck
suddenly didn't work. Removed the logo spellcheck started to work again but
then all sorts of problems with the signature font, colour etc started. I
have spent hours and hours trying to resolve this and I am really hoping that
someone here can out me out of my misery.

When I open 'new' mail the signature is perfect. When I 'reply' to mail in
HTML format the font changes from the default of Arial to Times New Roman and
from the default size of 10 to size 12. The colour changes from black to
blue. When I press 'reply' to a mail sent in plain text format the line
spacing becomes double.

I have checked and rechecked all the formatting, styles etc and it all looks
okay. I cannot for the life of me see where it is going wrong.

What I really would like is to be able to have my company logo at the top of
my email signature, my spellcheck to work, for all emails whether 'new' or
'replies' to have the same font, size colour etc. Is it too much to ask?!

SInce replies always use the format of the original message, including the
sender's staionery, font choices, and so on, you're always going to see
effects like this when replying. One thing that may help is to click
Tools>Options>Mail Format>Fonts and select the "Always use my fonts" radio
button at the bottom, if you have it. You don't state your Outlook version
and I don't know if every Outlook version has this option.

Brian,

I'm using Outlook 2003 and have already checked the 'Always use my fonts'
button. Makes no difference. Any other clues, this is driving me potty!

I had this same problem as well- I had to have a specific font and
color size in my signature for work, and Outlook kept changing it on
replies. I did some testing and found that when I used the "Advanced
Editor" (i.e., word) to create my signature, it would revert my
signature to plain times with no color. If I used the Outlook editor,
it saved and used my reply signature perfectly. I would recommend
creating a new signature from scratch, and don't use the advanced edit,
or copy the sig in from word.

Probably has to do with all the garbage microsoft adds in with html!
