outlook signature link colors

When using Word 2003 as our word editor color tags on links seem to be
stripped out, making the link appear in default blue. The preview in
Outlook shows the signature fine. We have tried using very specific FONT
and SPAN tags to no avail; has anybody been able to hard-code a link color
in an outlook 2003 signature while using Word as the editor?

Thank you much,

Phil

I just created a sig. in word 2003 for outlook 2003. Highlighted the link,
changed the color to green, and saved. Created a new message, and the sig
shows up fine with a green link. Have outlook 2003 set as the e-mail editor.
I think that is what you were trying to do right? No problems over here.

Close, but we are trying to use HTML rather than whatever format Word uses
for hyperlinks..

Actually, I just found the solution after trying many examples. It seems
that if you set the tag colors in the <BODY> tag that word goes through and
strips out the modifications throughout the HTML.

Very unusual.

The solution was to hard code them inside the signature and not use the
<BODY> tag to set the link colors.
