Outlook Signature for Replies not correct font styles

Hi,
One of our users just got a new computer. We are using Office 2003.

I set his Outlook signature , the same one for both new messages and for
replies.

On the new messages, the correct font styles are showing, but on the
replies
the font styles (bold, italics) are not showing.

It is the same file, so I don't really understand what is happening.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

It's using the fonts of the reply.
I don't have Outlook 2003 here to check so see if there is a setting to
control this.
If there isn't you might need to use Autotext and keep the source
formatting.

I am sorry. I do appreciate when I get responses from the Newsgroups,
even the ones that don't work, but at least have something to try,
but this is most unhelpful reply I have every seen.

What I don't understand is if you don't have an answer, why reply?

Bill,

I found a workaround. You were right about the fonts. Seems that
this only happens when the reply is sent in Plain Text.

The workaround is to open up the message.
Click on Edit.
Click on Format.
Change the Format to HTM.
Click on Reply.
The signature formatting is there.

um, if you look I had a reply that gave you a workaround.
You weren't sure what caused this - I answered. I provided a workaround. I
gave you the access to actually look for a fix yourself which is much more
of a learning lesson than someone feeding you a fix for a basic problem like
this.

Now if you didn't have something constructive to add then why did you reply?

Well wouldn't you expect that? Formatting is only available in html or
limited in RTF messages.
When you post in the future please provide all the relevant details.

Bill,

Most of us posting are not Tecno gurus. We are being
pressured by superiors to find quick answers to problems that
are difficult for us, that is why we are posting. We don't
really have the luxury to spend time learning every application.

Your point is well taken though. If I would have known
before posting that this was only happening in messages sent
in RTF format, you probably would have been able to give better direction.

I'll try to have more info in the future.

I have changed the settings for replies to "always use my fonts" and the weird thing is that in advanced edit which opens Word, the fonts are correct. BUT when you create an email and see the signature, they are reversed and the font is completely wrong....what's going on here? On another computer that is not happening. I'm going crazy!
