Outlook shouldn't change the date

Outlook extends the date of an appointment to the following day when I select
the hour of a new appointment. This means I have a 25 hour long event if I
select one hour in length because Outlook automatically makes the end time
the following day UNLESS I go back and change it. I often only notice it
after completing the appointment, which wastes time.

In general, this is not true. Additionally, you did not make a suggestion,
so it's inappropriate to have used the suggestion feature. Describe your
problem in detail, including your Outlook version and the default interval
to which you have set your calendar.
