Outlook should let me sort by subject - non-alphabetically

When returning from vacation to find 100 + emails in the inbox, I would like
to sort by Subject, which Outlook already does - however, I do not want it to
sort by the Subject alphabetically. If I click on an email entitled 'Water
consumption' and want to sort by subject with the 'water' email showing on
top, is there a way to do this?

Thanks,
Tania

Sort by conversation - at least Outlook 2003 has that function, but you
don't tell us what version you have. And how is a question a suggestion?

I am using Outlook 2003... I posted this as a question in case someone knew
how to do this - and if not, then it is a suggestion for Microsoft.
