"Outlook Send/Receive Progress" box will not go aw

"Outlook Send/Receive Progress" box will not go away in Offic
2002/SP3 with XP SP2. The progress box stays until you click [X] t
exit. I have tried to click and unclick the small tack in the lowe
right hand corner of the box and even checked the "dont show thi
dialog box during send/receive" many times and the darn box stil
shows up when doing a manual or scheduled "send/receive". At tha
point I have to manually exit out to rid the box of the screen.
Please dont send me this microsoft supposed fi

because it DOES NOT WORK. Its more of a nuisance than anything but

So, have you enabled the showing of the status bar like the article you cite
suggests?

Yes I have Brian. Many times over. That and the Tac on the lowe
right hand corner...it just will not go away
