Outlook Security Settings

Hi,

Is there a way of switching off Outlook Securitys without going through
Microsofts Public Folder solution as I have problems with public
folders in Exchange 2003.

I know they are free patches to switch this off but my client does not
want to apply these as there might be additional security risks.

If someone can advise.

You'll have to describe what you mean by "switching off Outlook Securities".

No, the Outlook Security Settings folder is the only way to change Outlook's behavior with regard to the "object model guard" security prompts, other than rewriting the code to avoid the prompts in the first place or using a third-party tool (not a free patch from Microsoft).

Hi Brian,

When I install Outlook 2002 and try to send an email, I get a message
saying "A program is trying to send email via Outlook would you like to
allow this. It then gives me a time interval"

I would like to turn this off as it will disrupt email distribution
from one of our bespoke apps.

If you can let me know how to switch this off.

Regards

Barnaby
