Outlook security block & Simple Mapi

Hi group.

I try to send mails programtically from a heritage Win16 application using
Simple Mapi (I guess mapi.dll is Simple Mapi).

This has been working fine on Win2000 and XP until recently. It seems there
has been a new patch from Microsoft blocking this?

Do you know of a work-around?

The security patch is several years old, but I suspect that's what you're
hitting.

It is indeed a new problem. Maybe its not the Outlook security path then.

I get the error message:

MAPI services are not available on this system.

My machine as always fully updated, and I haven't seen this problem until
recently. Many of our customer report it too now.
